Barolo - "Il Pozzo" 2018

Barolo Il Pozzo, the king of wines or also the wine for kings, comes from the Italian village of Barolo of the same name in Piedmont. Normally Barolo is a very exclusive and more expensive wine that needs quite a few years of maturation to reach full weight. For a number of years there have been winegrowers who produce a Barolo who need this long maturation a little less and therefore come to the market faster. That's why these Barolo are also a bit cheaper. Barolo smells of tar, violets and roses and dark fruits and has a very deep dark red color that changes to an orange-like color with age. So is this Barolo Il Pozzo, but without the very large tannin structure, but beware, the tannins are still clearly present! This Barolo is made of 100% Nebbiolo (legally mandatory), very sturdy with a taste palette of tobacco and sun-stewed fruit with pleasant clearly present tannins. Now drinkable, but will improve with the years. Drink it with red meat, game dishes and powerful cheeses, because this powerhouse can easily have that!
